Terms and Services Agreement

Welcome to Ocean Baby Rentals! By renting our baby equipment, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Introduction
Ocean Baby Rentals (referred to as "OBR," "we," "us," or "our") offers rental services for various baby equipment, including but not limited to car seats, strollers, toys, sleep equipment, and beach gear. Customers (herein referred to as "you") agree to the following terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for you as our valued customer. Please read through them carefully, as they govern your use of our services and the rental equipment provided. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to us before renting.
2. Rental Period
- Rentals are priced by the calendar day, and customers may select their start and end times at checkout.
- The minimum rental period is 3 days.
- The maximum rental period depends on the availability of the items.
- Monthly pricing must be discussed and confirmed with the owner prior to the rental start.
3. Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full at checkout. This includes a fully refundable security deposit that will vary based on a percentage of the total order amount. This security deposit will be refunded in full when the clean items rented are returned to Ocean Baby Rentals in the condition in which they were provided.
- Cancellations and Refunds: All reservations are fully refundable until 2 weeks (or 15 days) before the reservation start date. Reservations are non-refundable if cancelled 14 days or less before the start date.
- If you’d like to remove items for a refund, you can do so for a full refund up until 15 days from the reservation start date. After this time, all payments are non-refundable.
4. Modifications to Your Order
We understand that plans can change, and we’re happy to accommodate adjustments to your reservation when possible. Please review the following policy regarding changes to your order:
- Order Changes: You may modify your reservation to add, remove, or substitute items of equal or greater value any time up until 24 hours before your rental start date, subject to availability. Requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice are not guaranteed and may incur an additional fee.
- Delivery Changes: Any changes to your delivery details—including time, date, or location—must also be made at least 24 hours in advance. Last-minute changes (within 24 hours of delivery) may not be accommodated or may result in additional delivery fees, particularly for long-distance or rerouted deliveries.
- Non-Use of Items: No refunds or credits will be issued for unused rental items once delivery has been completed, regardless of whether they were used during the rental period.
- Responsibility After Delivery: Once items have been delivered to the agreed-upon location (including curbside or outside a residence when requested or necessary), they are considered the responsibility of the renter. We are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage that occurs after delivery.
5. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery is available for any location on the island of Oahu. Self-pickup is not an option as we operate as a delivery-only service.
6. Delivery Policies
- Delivery time slots are available from 8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week.
- After-hours delivery and pickup are available for an additional fee.
- Delivery fees include both delivery and pickup and are based on zones on the island. Please contact us at the time of booking if you are unsure which zone your rental location falls under.
7. Rental Returns
- All equipment must be ready for pickup by the selected time of your rental on the day of your departure, unless prior arrangements have been made.
- If you wish to extend your rental, you must notify us 24 hours before the scheduled return date. Failure to do so will incur an additional service charge of $20.00 plus the rental cost for the extended period.
- The renter agrees to return all equipment to the original delivery location unless prior arrangements have been made.
- Equipment that cannot be retrieved in a timely manner, whether customer is directly responsible or not, will result in additional rental charges and a return trip fee equal to your original delivery/pick up fee.
8. Equipment Condition and Responsibilities
- You, the customer, are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of rental equipment during the rental period. Equipment must be returned in the condition in which it was received.
- You, the customer, are responsible for cleaning the equipment of any sand or food before returning it. While Ocean Baby Rentals will take care of sanitizing the equipment, all items should be wiped down and returned in a reasonably clean condition. Failure to do so may result in additional cleaning fees.
- Products must be returned with all accessories and parts intact and in proper working order. Any excess damage to rental equipment beyond normal wear will be repaired or replaced at your expense, and you will be charged the fair market value for replacement if the equipment is beyond repair.
- With the exception of high chairs, we recommend that children do not consume food or use bottles while using the equipment.
- If equipment is returned excessively dirty, you will be charged a minimum cleaning fee of $25.00, or more depending on the level of cleaning required. This charge will be processed on the credit card you provided, and Ocean Baby Rentals will notify you of the fee in advance.
9. Customer Assembly Responsibility
Ocean Baby Rentals is not responsible for the correct assembly of the items rented. Customers rent at their own risk and are responsible for researching the correct assembly and usage of the items. You agree to hold Ocean Baby Rentals harmless from any injury or damage that results from incorrect assembly or usage of the items rented.
10. Release of Liability
You agree to indemnify and hold Ocean Baby Rentals and its agents harmless from all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of: (a) the use of the rented equipment; (b) any act or omission of the customer; or (c) the misuse or improper or negligent use of any rented equipment by you or any third party. You assume any and all risks, both known and unknown, related to the use of the rented equipment and assume full responsibility for any such risk.
You understand there are risks associated with the use of the rented equipment.
You agree, on your behalf and on behalf of your heirs, personal representatives, and next of kin, to release Ocean Baby Rentals and agree not to sue Ocean Baby Rentals or its officers, agents, and employees with respect to any and all bodily injury, disability, death, loss, or damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
11. Cleaning, Damage, and Replacement of Rented Car Seats
- Ocean Baby Rentals does not install car seats. Car seats are not provided with manufacturer user manuals, but are available upon request.
- You agree to never use the following cleaning methods or products on rented car seats: hosing off, bleach, peroxide, alcohol, stain removers, vinegar, steam, disinfectant wipes, essential oils, or enzyme cleaners.
- If a rented car seat is involved in any accident, you agree to notify Ocean Baby Rentals and provide an accident report for replacement.
12. Customer Satisfaction
- If you experience issues with the baby gear during your rental, please contact us immediately. We will work to resolve the problem, which may include providing a replacement item.
13. Indemnification
You agree to release, defend (at our option), indemnify, and hold Ocean Baby Rentals and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your improper use of the rental equipment, or (c) your interactions with any service providers.
14. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.
15. Modifications
Ocean Baby Rentals reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.
